New Master's program for Smart Cities in NSTU

In flagship NSTU the Master's Degree program "Digital Technologies in State and Municipal Management" is opened on the basis of the Faculty of Business for creating Smart Cities.
The target audience of the program is bachelors and specialists, graduates of faculties of both technical and humanitarian and economic directions. The program "Digital Technologies in State and Municipal Management" is interdisciplinary and is aimed at training specialists in the sphere of state and municipal management and information technologies.
"The most successful graduates of the program who demonstrate their potential in project and practical training will have the opportunity to make a career in the state and municipal service, to participate in the formation of Novosibirsk region staff reserve," comments Marina Khairullina, a dean of the Faculty of Business of NSTU.
In particular, it is expected that graduates of the master's degree will participate in the implementation of the Smart Cities project of the Ministry of Construction of the Russian Federation in Novosibirsk region. Earlier it was reported that 18 Russian cities, including Novosibirsk, were selected by the Ministry of Construction of the Russian Federation to implement this project. In municipalities selected as pilot projects for implementation of the project, both integrated technological solutions, such as centralized urban information systems, and smart point developments will be implemented, which will make citizens` daily life more comfortable, for example, mobile applications for house management companies.
It is planned to recruit 15 undergraduates for the following academic year. The documents are accepted at NSTU Admission Board from June 20 to August 4. Applicants need to undergo a complex interdisciplinary computer testing in informatics, state and municipal management and a foreign language.
