A unique sports cardiograph has been developed at the Novosibirsk State Technical University (NETI). A special feature of the Novosibirsk novelty is the Bluetooth 4.0 module, which allows you to transmit a signal from the heart without delay during training. In the future, artificial intelligence will be added to the device.
A conscious attitude to a healthy lifestyle requires modern solutions, one of which was the development of Yaroslav Skorobogatov, a second-year student of the Faculty of Aircraft of the NSTU-NETI. The sports cardiograph differs from numerous analogues in the presence of three contacts and a Bluetooth 4.0 version module, which allows you to transmit a signal from the heart in real time, which means providing accurate control over the body's work during training.
"Conventional cardiographs, sports heart sensors, and heart rate monitors are mostly single-channel; they transmit a signal on the old version of Bluetooth 2.0 with a delay and over a short distance. Our cardiograph is three–pin, in addition, it uses the Bluetooth 4.0 module version," Yaroslav Skorobogatov said, adding that in the future it is planned to introduce artificial intelligence into the device. "Then the cardiograph will respond to the slightest changes, which will significantly increase the effectiveness of training."
The developer and his team are confident that the device will be widely used not only among sports enthusiasts, but also by doctors – for the rehabilitation of patients with the help of physical therapy. There is about a year and a half left before the new version of the sports cardiograph, taking into account the improvements. The project has already received positive feedback within the framework of the NSTU-NETI REACTOR acceleration program, which is being implemented within the framework of the federal project "Platform for University Technological Entrepreneurship" of the state program "Scientific and Technological Development of the Russian Federation".
