Anna Pronchenko, a junior researcher, post-graduate student, and head of the Biogels for Sanitary and Hygienic Profile project within the framework of the Priority 2030 program at Novosibirsk State Technical University, became the winner of the All-Russian Inventor of the Year Competition, winning the Young Inventor category. The Novosibirsk scientist was awarded a high award for the development of a domestic biodegradable dust suppressor, which has no analogues in Russia.
The competition is organized by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Russia together with the All-Russian Society of Inventors and Innovators with the support of the National Research University "Moscow Power Engineering Institute". This year, 658 inventors and innovators from 71 regions of Russia applied for participation. The applications were evaluated by experts from the Russian Academy of Sciences, the National Research University "MEI" and other leading engineering universities. According to the results of the experts' assessment, the organizing committee of the competition approved a list of 21 winners in four nominations: "Grand Prix", "Innovator of the Year", "Mentor of the Year" and "Inventor of the Year".
Anna Pronchenko's development is a domestic biodegradable dust suppressor based on polymers of plant and animal origin, created within the framework of the Priority 2030 program. It is a liquid product with biopolymers and microorganisms used in biological products. After spraying onto a dirty surface, its constituent substances bind fine dust particles into large agglomerates. A thin film is formed that prevents weathering and blowing of fine dust particles. The drug is completely safe for the environment and biodegradable: bacteria further absorb the film along with dust particles. The development has been successfully tested both in laboratory conditions and in an urban environment. The dust suppressor can be used in mines, quarries, as well as in urban and rural areas to reduce dust on roads, in addition, it can be used in closed parking lots. There are no analogues of the development of Novosibirsk scientists in Russia yet.
The award ceremony for the winners of the III All-Russian competition "Inventor of the Year" took place on November 15 at the ATOM Museum at VDNH. Vladimir Putin, President of the Russian Federation, sent a welcome address to the contest participants.
"Today we honor talented, purposeful, dedicated people — true innovators who, with their breakthrough discoveries and developments, make a significant contribution to the development of Russian scientific and technical thought, strengthening the country's economic and industrial potential, and Russia's technological sovereignty. It is gratifying that all of you — engineers, designers, innovators, workers of industrial enterprises, scientific and educational centers, students and schoolchildren are united by the courage of ideas and creative ideas, perseverance and perseverance, sincere desire to work for the good of the Motherland. Congratulations to the laureates on their well-deserved victory. I am sure that your current success will inspire you to new achievements. I wish you all the best," said Vladimir Putin.
From the stage, the Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the All-Russian Society of Inventors and Innovators (VOIR) addressed the participants of the event Dmitry Chernyshenko.
Valery Lobov, a design engineer at NSTU-NETI, was also among the winners of the competition in the field of "New Technologies of Bioeconomics" in the nomination "Inventor of the Year" with another development of the university within the framework of the Priority 2030 program - a vortex device for water treatment.
