Frontier scientific research and development in the field of power electronics, energy, robotics and biomedicine, innovation centers and laboratories of Novosibirsk State Technical University (NETI) are presented on a new specialized platform – the showcase of engineering developments "Made in NETI". The project is being implemented by the Information Policy Department of NSTU-NETI together with the Technology Transfer Center and the University's Scientific Department within the framework of the Priority 2030 program.
"The main message of the Priority 2030 program is: "Becoming leaders." Historically, NSTU-NETI has been developing new scientific, technological and educational directions inextricably linked with industry. And the pace of this development only increases over time. Participation in the program of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation allowed us to gain this speed in a number of areas, show courage and master new industries, as well as consolidate our leadership in traditional areas for the university. It is important to talk about all this – technologically and professionally. The showcase of engineering developments "Made in NETI" is a project designed to popularize science globally, maintain the prestige of scientists and engineers, and in the applied field, the platform will become our modern platform for communication between the university team and industrial partners," said Anatoly Bataev, Rector of NSTU-NETI.
The presentation of the "Made in NETI" project to the professional media community took place within the framework of the XI International Forum of Technological Development "Technoprom-2024". As Zoya Otto, Head of the Information Policy Department of NSTU-NETI, noted during the presentation, the university project has great scaling potential, since it makes a great contribution to the positioning of Novosibirsk as a city of advanced engineering science: "Next year NSTU-NETI will celebrate its anniversary: For 75 years now, university engineers have been creating technologies every day that change people's lives, from the development of knee joints to electric power steering. It is important for us that the showcase of Siberian scientists' developments become a platform that shapes the image of the region as a whole."
The platform presents advanced development projects implemented by the University within the framework of the Priority 2030 program of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation. The first thematic block is devoted to a new direction, which has already managed to identify the university's leadership positions – new engineering solutions and artificial intelligence for biomedicine. Among them are a domestic universal operating table, an assistive assistant for the visually impaired, a Machaon traction table, and assistive technologies to support learning for the deaf.
The traditional direction of scientific and technological development for NSTU-NETI — energy – is represented by the project "Intelligent Energy", dedicated to the production of electricity based on distributed small generation for residential areas and industries; domestic charging stations for electric vehicles developed by the university team, as well as a platform for analyzing technological data and equipment diagnostics.
New materials are another strategic direction of the university's development. On the platform, you can get acquainted in more detail with biodegradable polymer materials made in NETI, soft magnetic ferrite and composite ceramic materials.
The web magazine also contains a detailed presentation of the competencies of researchers and developers united in innovative divisions: the Engineering Center for Energy-Efficient Electronics and Mechatronics, the design center "Power Electronics", the Center for Mechatronics, the Laboratory of Industrial Robotics, the team of the project "Scientific Stations at the SKIF Central Research Center".
The project is implemented by the Information Policy Management team, which includes editors, journalists, a photographer, a videographer, a designer and other specialists. A separate page of the platform is dedicated to each project "Made in NETI", whether it is a specific development or laboratory. It provides basic information about the project, professional photos and videos telling about the features and uniqueness of the development and the competencies of the team, a selection of materials in leading federal and regional media, as well as contacts of the project manager. In the future, the team plans to increase the number of engineering developments presented. To get acquainted with the projects presented on the Made in NETI platform, follow the link.
