Myanmar’s delegation became acquainted with the developments and educational programs of NSTU-NETI

The university and promising areas of cooperation were presented to the guests of honor by the rector of NSTU-NETI, Professor Anatoly Bataev: "For our university, as well as other major universities in Russia, it is essential to maintain and develop international relations. NSTU-NETI takes an active position in entering the educational market of Southeast Asia. We are glad that you have chosen our university to meet you, and we are convinced that we have many promising areas of cooperation with Myanmar Higher Education." The parties discussed the prospects for cooperation and expressed great interest in developing educational and scientific cooperation. In particular, they discussed the training of engineering personnel for industrial development in Myanmar, the organization of teacher internships, and joint research projects. Sergey Chernov, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of NSTU-NETI, also suggested considering the possibility of signing an agreement between NSTU-NETI and leading technological universities in Myanmar. The program of the visit of the Minister of Science and Technology of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, Myo Thein Kyaw, continued with an introduction to the scientific and technical potential of the university. The delegation members were acquainted with the projects implemented by NSTU-NETI within the framework of the academic leadership program "Priority 2030". The guests of the university were presented with two generations of hybrid power modules for the power supply systems of aerospace vehicles developed and manufactured in the Design Center of Power Electronics of NSTU-NETI. Ekaterina Litvinova, Director of the Biopolymer Technologies Scientific and Educational Center, demonstrated a line of biodegradable gels developed by the project team for various tasks, including household rapid tests to determine the presence of food dyes in beverages and nitrates in seasonal vegetables and fruits, as well as safe two-component gels to prolong the preservation of vegetables and fruits. The members of the delegation also became acquainted with the work of the laboratory of industrial robotics at NSTU-NETI. At the end of the delegation's visit, the Rosatom Atomic Energy Information Center, at our university, was presented. The Minister of Science and Technology of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, Myo Thein Kyaw, highly appreciated the potential of NSTU-NETI and expressed hope that the presence of the Consulate General of Myanmar in Novosibirsk and direct flights between our countries will help establish scientific and educational contacts.
