Scientists of the Faculty of Applied Mathematics and Computer Science of NSTU NETI have created a replacement for foreign software ECLIPSE (Schlumberger, USA), Tempest (ROXAR, Norway) for modeling oil production technologies and field development management, and also subsystems replacement of ANSYS and COMSOL software systems aimed at solving durability problems and modeling electromagnetic fields.
"This is a set of programs that helps specialists solve the problems of modeling complex physical processes and various technologies," said Dean of the Faculty of Applied Mathematics and Computer science of NSTU NETI, Doctor of Technical Science Vladimir Timofeev.
The development of the scientists of NSTU NETI is called CMPPT_Soft and consists of subsystems aimed at solving various tasks and united by a common ideology. The developed software is already working and can replace foreign software at any time.
"The software is fully operational, various subsystems of this software are already used by some geological and oil-producing companies and organizations, we are selling licenses for their use. Our software is based on unique proprietary algorithms that are superior to foreign ones," said Marina Persova, Doctor of Technical Science, one of the authors of the development, the Head of the Simulation and Data Processing of Knowledge-Intensive Technologies Laboratory.
