Governor Andrey Travnikov, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus Viktor Karankevich and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Russian Federation Alexander Rogozhnik visited JSC Novosibirsk Plant of Semiconductor Devices Vostok. The event took place during a working trip to the Novosibirsk region of the official delegation of the Republic of Belarus.
Andrey Travnikov and Viktor Karankevich were introduced to the technological capabilities of the Novosibirsk enterprise.
Anatoly Bataev, Rector of Novosibirsk State Technical University (NETI), presented to the participants of the working trip key developments in the field of power electronics for use in dual-use aviation technology, in particular, a continuous power supply system. The Institute of Power Electronics of NSTU-NETI was one of the first in the country to develop an aviation power supply system unit based entirely on a domestic element base, controlled by a microprocessor control system.
The delegation was particularly interested in the high-power multifunctional modular electric energy storage system (EESS) presented by NSTU-NETI. The EESS developed at the University have wide application possibilities: uninterruptible power supply mode, ensuring the quality of electricity, freeing up technological connection capacities, compensating for alternating loads and load imbalances, using them in conjunction with renewable energy sources, accelerating charging of electric vehicles, and many others.
The cooperation of NSTU-NETI with enterprises of the Republic of Belarus has a high potential: last August, at Technoprom-2024, an agreement was signed between the university and Planar Open Joint Stock Company (Minsk, Belarus). The subject of the agreement is long-term cooperation between the parties on the supply of technological equipment and the development of advanced equipment for power electronics.
