The All-Russian project of the Russian Ministry of Education and Science with the support of the Skolkovo Foundation and the Center for Public Diplomacy at Novosibirsk State Technical University (NETI) is reaching a new level. Thanks to the cooperation of Novosibirsk university with foreign universities, Technonastavniki will expand its geography.
On August 27, within the framework of the XII International Forum of Technological Development "Technoprom-2025", Novosibirsk Expocenter hosted a panel discussion "National projects: from Technology Experts to Technology Leaders", which was attended by representatives of leading Russian universities and enterprises.
The main topic of discussion of the expert community was the establishment of mechanisms for seamless interaction of secondary and higher education with employers, with the orientation of children and youth towards priority sectors of the economy and key events of national technological leadership projects.
Sergey Chernov, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs at NSTU-NETI, noted that international cooperation is a promising area of technical cooperation. "We are attracting universities not only from all over Siberia to cooperate. As part of the project, our students traveled to Kamchatka, Sakhalin and Yakutia for career guidance. International projects with Niger, Burkina Faso and Abkhazia are also in the future," Sergey Chernov said.
According to Daria Borovikova, head of the Department of Pre-university education and recruitment at NSTU-NETI, the international level of techno-entrepreneurship will ensure a positive effect for all project participants. "The project will not only expand programs for the export of Russian education, but also strengthen international relations and relationships at the horizontal level," she said.
In two years, the federal project for direct interaction between schools, universities and employers has shown that young people are very interested in science and technology, so the goal of all project participants this year is to create a training system for technology specialists and students of technical fields for mass involvement of children and youth in engineering within the framework of the national project "Means of Production and Automation".
According to Alexander Vedekhin, Deputy Director of the Department of State Youth Policy and Educational Activities of the Russian Ministry of Education and Science, such a system allows for a qualitative change in the approach to career guidance. "There's a small age difference between tech-savvy kids and schoolchildren, so they can motivate students like no one else. As a result, applicants go to universities prepared, motivated and clearly understand what they will do," he said.
Konstantin Olekhnovich, Director of the Department of Support and Development of Educational Activities at MSTU Stankin, noted that, in addition to career guidance, it is necessary to work on workplace orientation so that young people can work at enterprises in the future. "It is necessary to organize interaction with schoolchildren from all over the country, and not just from our regional capitals," stressed the representative of the engineering university.
Ekaterina Rakhmankina, Deputy General Director for Personnel Management and Organizational Development of Rosatom Nauka JSC, and Roman Khazeev, Director for Digital Technology Development of Rostelecom PJSC, also shared their opinions on the implementation of the Technonastavnik project, noting that a large number of activities allow attracting new participants as mentors and, most importantly, they return students' interest in engineering specialties.
