Engineers of Novosibirsk State Technical University (NETI) have successfully launched upgraded equipment at one of the largest domestic enterprises engaged in the production of cardboard packaging for dairy products.
Technological solutions of NSTU-NETI scientists have made it possible to modernize the printing press at the Moscow enterprise of PJSC Lambumiz, the largest enterprise for the production of packaging for milk and dairy products. The first part of the commissioning took place in the spring of this year. At that time, Novosibirsk engineers performed maintenance on the equipment and proposed their own solution to optimize operation, as a result of which the printing machine produced packaging at a speed of 180 meters per minute and applied creasing — cardboard folding lines — at a speed of 90 meters per minute.
At the end of last week, scientists from NSTU-NETI, together with employees of the youth laboratory at the Faculty of Mechatronics and Automation, completed the second part of the work, as a result of which the equipment reached its design capacity. According to Denis Kotin, head of the Department of Electric Drive and Automation of industrial installations, head of the scientific department of NSTU-NETI, currently the printing press prints and applies creasing at a speed of 180 meters per minute. "On the old creasing unit, the mechanism and electronics were completely worn out, and the technical solutions adopted by the printing machine manufacturer are not relevant to the current needs of the enterprise, so our engineers updated the entire structure and electromechanical components," the scientist said.
The company, which produces two types of packaging using Russian production technology — TOPROLL and Tetrabrick, plans to install a new laminator. The equipment has already been ordered, and as soon as it arrives at the plant, NSTU-NETI engineers will take part in its launch. In the meantime, Novosibirsk University is training specialists who will join the staff of the industrial partner and will perform the tasks of highly qualified automation and electric drive engineers, — the request was received from PJSC Lambumiz.
