The grand opening of the second season of the project "Technonastavnik: Technologies of the First" occurred at Novosibirsk State Technical University (NETI). As part of the opening, a round table and a design and analytical session were held, and a tour of the university's laboratories.
The participants of the round table "Techno-entrepreneurship as the main tool for continuous training of engineering personnel" discussed how important the project is and what benefits it brings to the region.
"This is a very important and interesting career guidance story for schoolchildren, aimed at helping them understand who they want to be during their studies. This is a significant project that will close the gap between the global task of career guidance and mentoring. I am sure that this will not be the last year when we will implement this grant together with Novosibirsk State Technical University (NETI), and our cooperation will only strengthen," said Maria Om, Deputy Chairman of the Council of the regional branch of the Movement of the First of the Novosibirsk region.
According to data from last year's data, only 9.5% of schoolchildren choose physics as a core subject for passing the Unified State Examination. The aim of this project is to increase the interest of modern youth in higher engineering education and to train highly qualified personnel in the country.
"The project was created in order to try to convey to the student exactly in his language that physics and mathematics are not scary. These sciences are the future, and engineering personnel are in demand by the economy. A very wide partner network is being formed among universities, additional education organizations, and schools to solve the tasks set," commented Sergey Chernov, Vice—Rector for Academic Affairs at NSTU-NETI.
The importance of project implementation and implementation was noted by representatives of educational organizations and industrial enterprises. In particular, Alexander Panekin, director of the regional resource center "Quantorium", emphasized that "involving children in engineering and technical creativity is a special task that we face."
"The Technologies of the First project solves two global tasks facing the education system as a whole: the first is the training of personnel who will be ready not only to teach but, also to inspire students so that they can then boldly go in the direction of engineering. And the second point is the issue of career guidance, which is acute for all educational organizations today," said the deputy chairman of the Commission on Youth Affairs, Kirill Romashchenko.
The final event of the meeting was a design and analytical session with the participation of partner universities, enterprises, educational organizations, and technology experts, at which the participants discussed in more detail the plan for further joint work.
