Novosibirsk State Technical University NETI, together with the House of Scientific Collaboration, named after Yu.V. Kondratyuk opened the Center for Mathematical Education. The creation of such a center will contribute to the activation of educational activities in the field of mathematical disciplines, popularization of mathematics as a field of knowledge, and increase motivation to study it for the application of acquired knowledge in various fields of science and in practice.
On the basis of the mathematical center, events aimed at the development of mathematical education are planned: Olympiads, conferences, and seminars for schoolchildren, undergraduates, and postgraduates; methodological seminars and conferences on mathematical training, mentoring systems, and work with gifted children for mathematics teachers, including advanced training programs.
Now, the Center for Mathematical Education is starting programs on Olympiad mathematics for students in grades 7-11, developed by leading teachers of the Faculty of Applied Mathematics and Computer Science of NSTU NETI. The programs are designed in such a way that during training, applicants are most effectively prepared to pass the Unified State Exam in specialized mathematics. On the basis of the center, students will be able not only to gain knowledge from professionals but also engage in project activities in the field of end-to-end technologies: AI, Big Data, and Machine Learning.
The partners of the Center for Mathematical Education are the world—class mathematical center "Mathematical Center in Akademgorodok", the municipal autonomous educational institution of the city of Novosibirsk "Engineering Lyceum of NSTU".
