The XVI International Conference "Actual Problems of Electronics Instrument Engineering (APEIE-2023)" was held in Novosibirsk on November 10-12. The event is organized by the Novosibirsk State Technical University of NETI and the Siberian Branch of the IEEE.
The conference was opened by the chairman of the organizing committee, Professor Sergey Viktorovich Brovanov (NSTU NETI), Vice-Rector for Scientific Work of NSTU Artur Isaakovich Otto, Director of the Institute of Power Electronics, Head of the Department of Electronics and Electrical Engineering of NSTU NETI, Professor Sergey Aleksandrovich Kharitonov, Chairman of the Siberian Branch of IEEE Associate Professor Roman Leonidovich Gorbunov. All of them emphasised the importance of such events for the world scientific community.
At the plenary meetings and during the work of the sections, leading engineers and scientists of NSTU NETI, Russia and the world discussed the current challenges facing the scientific community in the field of electronics, and also shared their experience in solving such problems. The reports aroused keen interest and gave rise to scientific discussions. The increased number of partners from the real economy sector gave additional weight to the conference. Thus, the First Deputy General Director, Technical Director of the Regional Electric Networks LLC Vladimir Ermagenovich Gerasimov, Chairman of the Board of Directors, Technical Director of NORMEL LLC Alexander Borisovich Klavsuts, General Director of NFP Energia Vladimir Konstantinovich Fomichev and Regional Manager of Alfa Bank Andrey Vladimirovich Fischer, representative of LLC participated in APEIE-2023 "Scientific instruments and systems" Ilya Ivanovich Glotov. All of them made reports on current topics during the plenary session.
The participants were particularly interested in the report of Professor, Doctor of Technical Sciences Mikhail Gennadyevich Grif (NSTU NETI) with the topic "Technologies of machine translation of sign languages of the deaf. In total, the conference gathered more than 150 participants from 38 regions of Russia and five countries — Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, China, Germany and India.
The work was carried out in the following areas:
• Electronic devices, nanotechnology and microsystem technology,
• Medical electronic devices,
• Electrical engineering and electric power industry,
• Radio engineering and telecommunication systems,
• Automation and information and measurement technologies,
• Mathematical modeling of processes and devices,
• Optical and laser technologies.
Within the framework of APEIE-2023, an international symposium on knowledge, ontology and theory was held, as well as a competition for young specialists, which determined three winners:
• Anastasia Kutischeva, A.A. Institute of Petroleum Geology and Geophysics A. Trofimuk SB RAS;
• Victoria Fedorova, Novosibirsk State Technical University of NETI;
• Anastasia Glushak, Institute of Nuclear Physics named after G. I. Budker SB RAS.
The articles submitted to the conference are sent for inclusion in IEEE Xplore. IEEE has agreements with all leading scientific publishers, including Clearwater Analytics (formerly Thomson Reuters), Elsevier (Compendex, ScienceDirect and Scopus), Google Scholar, ACM, IET, etc.
