This year, a new tradition of celebrating the Day of Russian Students has been established in Novosibirsk. At the initiative of Novosibirsk State Technical University (NETI), the first intercollegiate snowball fighting tournament was held in the region.
In the first year of the snow battle, 12 student teams from four universities of the Novosibirsk Region became participants: NSTU-NETI, Siberian State University of Geosystems and Technologies, Novosibirsk State University of Economics and Management, and Siberian University of Consumer Cooperation. The main weapon of the students was snowballs, and the trophy was the enemy's flag. The victory in the snow battle was divided between three teams from NSTU (NETI): "Fighters", "Kommersant (Solid sign)" and "Pirozhenki".
Students not only played snowballs to victory but also created an interactive playground with traditional winter fun on the campus of NSTU (NETI). The students demonstrated dexterity and ingenuity in tug of war and luge races, bag jumps, and kettlebell exercises. Treats with hot tea were waiting for everyone in honor of the holiday, and several concert performances were presented by the collective of the NSTU-NETI Cultural Center – the national amateur folk dance ensemble "Siberia".
Recall that NSTU-NETI has been collecting a unique collection of cheat sheets for three years to preserve the history of this phenomenon. This year, 23 of the most interesting options were selected for the exhibition, which was also dedicated to the Day of Russian Students, and the university's cheat sheet museum was replenished with 50 new exhibits. The exhibition will be presented in the new student space of NSTU-NETI "House 35".
