On June 16, a delegation of the Republic of Belarus headed by Igor Karpenko, the Minister of Education, visited NSTU NETI.
As part of the delegation, the rectors of the Belarusian State Technological University (Minsk), Brest State Technical University, Minsk State Linguistic University, the Belarusian State University of Economics and Inter-State Educational Institution of Higher Education ‘Belarusian-Russian University’ ( Mogilev) were the guests of the largest technical university in Siberia.
Together with the NSTU NETI administration, the representatives of the Belarusian higher school met Sergey Fedorchuk, the Minister of Education of the Novosinirsk Oblast, Maria Zhafyarova, Deputy Minister of Education, and Svetlana Malina, Head of the Higher Education Department.
The main purpose of the visit was to search for new ways of interregional and inter-university cooperation as well as to develop network interaction.
During the visit, the rectors of Belarusian universities met with the NSTU NETI administration, deans and employees of the Mechanical Engineering and Technologies, Mechatronics and Automation, Power Engineering, Business, and Humanities faculties as well as visited the International Russian-Belarusian Center for Interregional Cooperation in the Education, Science and Culture.
During the meeting, they discussed further cooperation between NSTU NETI and Belarusian universities in the joint training of students on network educational programs and the development of student and academic mobility. The guests expressed particular interest in organization of a joint educational program for the sign language translators training .
On June 17, within the framework of the 5th meeting of the Business Cooperation Council between the Government of the Novosibirsk Oblast and the Government of the Republic of Belarus, Anatoly Bataev, the rector of NSTU NETI, signed two cooperation agreements: with Minsk State Linguistic University and Belarusian State Technological University.
Reference: Cooperation with the Republic of Belarus in NSTU NETI has been developing since 2016. Currently, our university has cooperation agreements with Belarusian State University, Belarusian National Technical University, Belarusian-Russian University, Brest State Technical University, Vitebsk State Technological University, Polotsk State University, Institute of Applied Physics of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.
