Students of the Institute of Social Technologies (IST) NSTU NETI received gold and silver of the National Championship "Abilimpics" in professional skills among the disabled and people with disabilities.
The team of IST NSTU NET represented the Novosibirsk region in the final of the National Championship "Abilimpics". Teachers of the Institute of Social Technologies Galina Nikolaevna Oganesyan and Anton Yurievich Popkov worked at the championship as national experts, and students and graduates of the Institute competed in the competencies "Wood Carving" and "Pottery" and showed excellent results:
Anna Krotova has a gold medal — in the competence of "Pottery", category "Student";
Vladislav Kotugin received a silver medal in the competence "Wood carving", category "Student".
Dmitry Sorokin, who was trained by the teachers of the IST NSTU NTI, also performed in the NSO team — he received a bronze medal in the "Pottery" competence, the "Specialist" category.

Reference: The National Championship of Professional Skills among the disabled and persons with disabilities "Abilimpics" is a project of the presidential platform "Russia is a country of opportunities". Participants of the national championship this year were 769 people from 77 subjects of the Russian Federation, including 258 schoolchildren, 251 students and 260 specialists. The judging of the championship was carried out by 269 national experts from 57 regions of Russia. 600 volunteers helped the organizers and participants, as well as guests.
Abilimpics is the largest and most recognizable movement in Russia in the field of professional skills development among people with disabilities and disabilities.
