On October,5-7 Novosibirsk State Technical University hosted a hack marathon for student developers. Seven teams took part in the competitions. The teams were busy day-and-night programming the interface for Megafon digital channel service with personal statistics presented as a computer game. They also developed client profile database and automation of the service delivery process. Three-day marathon finished with projects presentation.
The first place went to the Infinite Capacity team (consisting of Nikolai Poperechny, Kirill Safonov, Daniil Bezruchenko from the Faculty of Radio-electronics, Andrey Leshchenko from the Faculty of Automatics and Computer Engineering and Mikhail Senchenko). They made the service complex for the aggregation of social network accounts. They implemented elements of computer games in the interface. The Life Laboratory team won the second place with the digital channel platform based on the neural network assisting the company to respond to the clients’ questions. The Revolution team had the third place for the project of integrating the individual user accounts in different social networks into one platform.
The prize pool amounted to ₽300,000. The first, second and third place got ₽150,000, ₽100,000 and ₽50,000 respectively.
According to the results of the hackathon four NSTU students, namely Kirill Safonov, Nikolai Poperechny, Daniil Bezruchenko and Andrey Leshchenko, got an internship offer from Megafon.
Novosibirsk was the first city to have the MegaDataHack. The hackathon is also planned to be held in Yekaterinburg, Rostov-on-Don, Samara and several other cities.
