NSTU NETI became one of the 7 universities in Siberia that demonstrated results higher than the all-Russian ones in all six indicators of the Ministry of Education and Science monitoring.
The leaders are Altai State University, Kemerovo State University, National Research Tomsk State University, Novosibirsk National Research State University, National Research Tomsk Polytechnic University, Glinka Novosibirsk State Conservatory.
The Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation assessed the performance of universities in 2020 according to the following indicators: teaching, research and international activities (the number of foreign students), the salary of teaching staff, financial and economic activities, and an additional indicator was the number of employees with Candidate or Doctor of Science degrees per 100 students.
The results of monitoring demonstrate that more than half of the indicators were below the median values for the Russian Federation in 18 out of 60 universities (excluding branches) in the Siberian Federal District.
Thus, 22 universities recorded a decrease in the number of teachers with Candidate and Doctor of Science degrees compared to 2019, and almost a third (19) of universities noted a decrease in teachers' salaries.
A decrease in research activity is observed in 19 universities, a decrease in teaching activity indicators (the average USE score of students accepted for full-time study) is registered in 14 universities. The reduction of financial and economic activity (income of a university) was recorded in 10 universities of the region.
