Novosibirsk State Technical University has been three times ranked by the Times Higher Education World University Ranking 2019. As it was in 2017 this year NSTU - the regional flagship university holds the position among the universities with the score of 801-1000 out of 1258 best world universities.
Overall number of leading Russian universities included in the Times Higher Education World University Ranking 2019 is 35. NSTU is the 16th among them. The leading positions are held by Moscow State University – 199, Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology – 251-300, and Higher School of Economics – 201-350. Novosibirsk State University is in the group of 501-600, which is lower than in 2017 when it was ranked 401-500. Most of the Russian universities rank lower in comparison with the previous year rating.
Oxford, Cambridge and Stanford Universities remain in the top rating positions.
The criteria for universities’ assessment include teaching, research, international outlook, citedness of publications, the amount of research financing, etc.
