As a part of People As Books project, there was a meeting on May 12 with Anatoly A. Bataev, Doctor of Sciences (Engineering), professor, NSTU NETI rector.
Anatoly A. Bataev has been teaching for more than 40 years. And his subjects are quite puzzling: Crystallography, Materials Science and Modern Technology, as well as Project Work. After graduating from NETI, he started his career in education sector as a mechanic engineer. But his true vocation is science. Anatoly A. Bataev is a corresponding member of The Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences. He wrote more than 200 scientific papers, completed a doctoral dissertation on "Regularities of plastic deformation of pearlite and the development of effective processes for strengthening steels with a heterophase structure".
