Rectors of Russia’s universities reported on the dormitories' construction process at the Ministry of Education. The NSTU rector, Anatoly Bataev, gave details about the construction of our university's new dormitories.
"The construction process is on schedule, with no delays, and I hope there won't be any," the rector said upon his return from the Ministry, adding that "both dormitory buildings have already been equipped with heating facilities. We anticipate that opening the dormitory will make our university more attractive among young scientists: master's program students and postgraduates. The new dormitory provides modern and compact housing. The new dormitory will primarily house those who excel in their studies and in their research. The two dormitories can accommodate 790 people. In addition to the housing quarters, there will be a café, canteen, gym, and modern self-study rooms. The cost of the construction process, according to the state examination report, is 1 725 041 500 rubles. The project's technical readiness is currently 69%. OOO "Agroservis" Commercial Production Company is in charge of the building.
As of February 1, 2023, the following works have been completed:
Building 1: The rooms on floors 2–15 have been fully done; the furniture and technical appliances (washing machines, fridges) have been bought and are now being fitted. Low-voltage networks are being installed in public spaces. The first floor and the basement will be finished by February 1.
Building 2: The contours of the building were insulated, windows and glass panels were installed, the heating system was put into operation, the inner walls were constructed, the systems of ventilation, drainage, water supply, and electricity supply are being installed, and rooms on floors 2–13 are being done. The furniture and technical appliances have been commissioned.
The scheduled deadline for putting the dormitory into service is by the end of August 2023.
