Complete the game and become a programmer: an educational application is being created at NSTU NETI
18 September 2023
The application, which will allow you to study programing during the passage of the game, and in the future, the subjects of high school programs, is being developed by students of technical specialties of the Novosibirsk State Technical University of NETI. The starting program of the educational application-game was a course in the C# programing language. "As part of the project activity, my team and I have studied what is most in demand in the IT market right now, and what is not at all. That is how the idea came up to create an educational programing game that will combine a full-fledged game application and an educational course. That is, we tried to combine several processes and create a unique hybrid application that will help you learn programing clearly and without stress during the game. The target audience of our app varies from 16 to 24 years old. There are no analogs in Russia: there is similar only in Norway, but it is focused exclusively on children who study in a preschool program. In the future, our application will become a comprehensive knowledge base for all possible disciplines that are in demand and relevant now," said Vadim Kritsyn, the main developer of the project.
The game can be played by users with different levels of training: the created algorithm analyzes the process of mastering the educational material and builds a further learning trajectory individually. During a survey of Novosibirsk schoolchildren conducted by the developers of the application, it turned out that 70% are looking for answers on the Internet, if they do not understand the lesson topic and face difficulties while doing homework, they do not study the topic on their own.
In the future, the project aims to supplement the functionality of the educational game with the high school curriculum, which will allow graduates to prepare for exams effortlessly and without stress.
