In 2009 professor A. S. Archakov has been awarded the Order of Friendship of the People's Republic of China for the project comprising the development and manufacturing of electric-arc plasma torch for air heating, commissioning and personnel training in the company Deyi (China). Professors V.S. Cherednichenko, M.V. Radchenko and T.B. Radchenko have received the Altai Krai Award in Science and Technology for the development and industrial implementation of electron beam electrotechnics for protective coatings application on machine parts. The equipment for carbon-containing waste processing. The work was awarded Silver medal at the XXI International Inventions, Innovation and Technology Exhibition "ITEX 2010" (Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia) and awarded the medal of the Russian Federation Government for the achievements in the environmental protection (2005, Moscow, Kremlin, the State Kremlin Palace).
The development Plasma Electrotechnics of Tough Metal Powders Processing was awarded Silver medal at the III International Invention Fair "SIIF'2006" (Seoul, Korea) and Gold medal of The 35th International Salon of the Inventions, Technology and New Products, "Geneva 2007" (Geneva, Switzerland). Plasma furnace for melting titanium sponge and titanium production wastes which produces "rotor" (aerospace) high quality ingots of titanium based alloys. The furnace power is 6000 kW. It was awarded Gold medal of the "METAL-EXPO" exhibition, Moscow, Russia (2013).
Electric arc generators of low temperature plasma with power from 600 to 1200 kW designed for plasma electric furnaces for working mass and titanium wastes melting into high-quality ingots (plasma-forming gases are helium and argon; the pressure is close to the atmospheric one). The development was awarded Gold medal of the V International forum "High Technologies of the XXI Century", Moscow (2004)
The cycle of physical and mathematical research facilitated obtaining exact solutions of kinetic equations of the nonequilibrium plasma interaction with a solid body and creating a general theory that includes the individual tasks of the Langmuire, Debye and Allen-Bohm fundamental theories as special cases. The research group prides the priority in the creation of the theory and obtaining experimental evidence of the plasma kinetic processes behavior on the fine powders surfaces as well as formulating fundamentally new views on electrotechnics of the powder materials high temperature ion-electron heating. This gave the opportunity to implement these technologies into unique industrial equipment. The development was awarded Novosibirsk Oblast State Prize. A series of research on the theory and practical implementation of distillation furnaces have allowed to create a new direction in the vapor-phase electrotechnics whose efficiency has no analogues in world practice of the pure and ultrapure nonferrous metals production. Furnaces are used in Russia, Mexico, Bolivia, Australia and Germany. The work was awarded the medal "For the achievements in electrical engineering" (1995) and the medal of the Academy of Electrotechnical Sciences of the Russian Federation. (2013)
