Preparatory department curricula
The language of instruction at the university is Russian, so international students have to learn Russian at the Preparatory department for 1 or 1,5 year. Training consists of 5 broad fields: Engineering, Sciences, Economics, Humanities, Medical Science and Biology, 2 language levels - beginner and elementary. An area is chosen in accordance with the future training program in NSTU or in any of the Russian universities.
On graduating from the Preparatory department all the students pass the final exams and the State Russian Language Test on the first certified level.
On graduating from the non-philological faculties (Bachelor's and Master's Degrees) students pass the State Russian Language Test on the second certified level.
On graduating from the Humanities faculty (Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Philology) students pass the State Russian Language Test on the third certified level.
