Globally, specialists of this major will be engaged in solving the main problem of the third millennium: the survival of mankind. Their activities will allow the society to save enormous material resources lost in various kinds of disasters and accidents. All this puts specialties in life safety among the most important professionals of the coming millennium. The Faculty of Energy provides training in the area of study:
The range of professional tasks includes: organization of habitat protection; organization of activities of enterprises and regions in emergency situations and disasters; examination of technical projects, productions, industrial enterprises; research of occupational and industrial risks as well as dangerous human interactions with the environment; creation of effective means of protecting humans and the environment from harmful and dangerous factors.
Graduates of the specialty can work:
- in state environmental agencies;
- in labor protection management and control bodies;
- in environmental and labor protection units at public and private enterprises of energy, transport, and communications industries;
- in regional and territorial bodies of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
