Information systems and technologies
Duration: 4 years
Start: September 1
Admission: open
Language : English
Entrance exams: Mathematics, Physics / Computer Science and Information and Communication Technologies
In-depth study of information processes, technologies, systems and networks, as well as their instrumental as well as software, technical, organizational support, methods and techniques of design, debugging, production and operation of information technologies and systems in various fields of human activity. An information system is a set of interconnected computing tools and their software that collect, archive, protect, process and transmit information. Information technology is a set of disciplines and fields of activity related to data management and processing technologies using computer technology. An IT specialist must have knowledge of programming technologies, design of computer systems and networks, their implementation and support, creation and administration of network databases, knowledge bases and expert systems, and information protection.
During the course, students receive training in C, C++, Java, SQL, PHP, LabVIEW, etc. They get acquainted in detail with the architecture of computers, study database design technologies, get acquainted with operating systems, gain skills in designing modern integrated automation systems for production processes, data collection and processing, acquire software testing skills, and IT project management.
Our graduates work in industrial enterprises, scientific and design organizations as developing engineers of various information and management systems, data centers and security systems, as well as organizations involved in the development and testing of a variety of software; system integrators, designers and managers for the development and implementation of innovative projects information technology.
