20.04.01 Engineering Protection of the Environment

The mission of this master's program is to train specialists capable of carrying out research activities related to the preservation of human life and health, to ensure the safety of the population and facilities of the national economy in an emergency, to minimize man-made impact on the natural environment, through the use of environmentally friendly and eco-protective processes and technologies, modern organizational methods, methods of control and monitoring of the environmental impact on the environment.

The educational program is focused on the formation of the following professional skills:

• independent performance of scientific research in ecology and rational nature management, industrial and environmental safety; planning of experiments, processing, analysis and generalization of their results, construction of forecasts;
• optimization of production technologies in order to reduce the impact of negative factors on humans and the environment;
• ability to organize activities on habitat protection at the level of enterprise, territorial-production complexes and regions, as well as the activities of enterprises and the region in emergency conditions;
• ensuring a systematic approach to solving problems of finding safe solutions;
• formation of readiness to make decisions and act professionally in non-standard situations
