Description:

Students of the profile “Chemical Technology of Composite and Functional Materials” study the issues of chemistry and chemical technology of materials of various functional purposes.

The mission of this educational program is to prepare graduates capable of carrying out research and development professional activity in the field of production of composite materials and creation of new functional materials, widely demanded in chemical, pharmaceutical, light and other fields of industry, as well as in production:

inorganic substances,
organic synthesis products,
polymeric materials,
pharmaceuticals,
construction materials, functional and structural ceramics,
composite materials, etc.

Simultaneously with theoretical training students undergo various types of practical training on the basis of institutes of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences and at industrial enterprises of Novosibirsk and the region. The department annually organizes the International Russian-Kazakhstani scientific-practical conference “Chemical Technologies of Functional Materials”, in which students take an active part, realizing their creative and scientific potential.
