A project is underway in Novosibirsk Akademgorodok to create the Siberian Ring Photon Source (SKIF) research facility with 3 GeV energy, which belongs to Mega Science devices for science and technology of the future. In order to build and fully utilize the SKIF facility, instrumentation specialists capable of developing and operating information-measuring and control systems for gas pedals are required. The training is supported by the Department of Electrophysical Installations and Accelerators of NSTU NETI and the Institute of Nuclear Physics of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
To ensure high quality of training and competitiveness of graduates much attention is paid to the creation of modern educational base (joint laboratories of NSTU and JSC “Radio and Microelectronics” for the development and pilot production of microelectronic equipment, power instrumentation, training laboratory Analog Devices). There is cooperation with employers - instrument-making enterprises of Novosibirsk region, research institutes.
