The mission of the program "Design and Technological Machines" is to develop students' ability to design and develop independent analytical works in the design and operation of competitive mechanical engineering products. Knowledge of the fundamentals of engineering design and technology allows students to solve issues related to the design, manufacture and repair of machines, planning, organization and economics of various types of industries.
Through the strategic implementation of modern, innovative teaching technologies, the department's faculty delivers exceptional educational and scientific experiences that rival the top technical institutions in the country.
Training of future engineers in NSTU NETI is carried out on modern technological equipment with the use of the latest CAD/CAM/CAE-systems from the world's leading manufacturers. In order to establish and maintain contacts with foreign and domestic universities, the staff of the department carries out the International Scientific and Practical Conference “Actual Problems in Mechanical Engineering”.
Graduates emerge ready to excel in diverse scientific and industrial sectors. Their deep understanding of engineering design and technology empowers them to address challenges across the spectrum, from product design and manufacturing to repair, production planning, and economic optimization.
Knowledge of engineering design and technology enables engineers to solve questions related to the design, manufacture and repair of machines, planning, organization and economics of various types of production. Specialists participate: in ensuring the effective functioning of technological equipment, automation systems, management and control over technological processes of production, in diagnostics and testing of raw materials and finished products, as well as in marketing research.
