Novosibirsk State Technical University NETI and the government of Novosibirsk Oblast signed an agreement on the establishment of House of Scientific Collaboration (HSC) based at the technical university.
This project will enable high school students of Novosibirsk Oblast to engage in robotics, industrial design, electronics. The project opening is planned for autumn 2020. NSTU NETI 's House of Scientific Collaboration will be the first modern center for future scientists training in Novosibirsk. The agreement on the creation of HSC was signed by Anatoly Bataev, the University Rector and Sergei Fedorchuk, Minister of Education, Novosibirsk Oblast. According to the text of the document, NSTU NETI will provide the premises for the project in the new educational building at pr. K. Marksa, 20, building 8. The Novosibirsk Oblast government will finance the design project of the premises, repair and purchase of modern educational and laboratory equipment.
The Houses of Scientific Collaboration are created in leading Russian universities in compliance with the Federal project "Success of Every Child" within the national project "Education". The creation of HSC is aimed at staffing world-class research centers and training personnel to solve the problems of the National Technology Initiative. According to the order of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation, the creation of the House of Scientific Collaboration is aimed at "the formation of a new type thinking of students who share the value of self-development throughout life and conscious approach to education and are able not only to receive information and use it, but also to know the method for the information production, verification and use for their further development". The first House of Scientific Collaboration was opened at Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University (BFU) on March 22, 2019
"The University took the initiative in creating this center, because we are interested in training high-quality applicants. The authorities supported us with this initiative. We have planned laboratories in those fields where NSTU NETI is traditionally setting the trend: resource-saving energy, electronics, robotics and information technology, smart manufacturing technologies and industrial design. For us, these fields are potentially rewarding, we have employees who are able to work with children, to encourage them and then see them as applicants and students at our university", - said Natalya Plotnikova, the head of the Education Strategy Department, NSTU.
In HSC, technology and biology lessons will be obligatory, there will also be a class for chess lessons. During the year, up to 150 students and 100 teachers will be working there. Both 5 -11 grades students and teachers will be engaged in the project, which also provides classes on advanced professional training. Trainings will be held remotely for teachers of schools in distant areas of Novosibirsk Oblast so they could be engaged in in-house advanced training and continue their work at the same time. Specialists are ready to conduct classes on weekends in order to work with children from other towns and villages. Each house of scientific collaboration will bear the name of a famous scientist. The one in Novosibirsk will be named after Yuri Kondratyuk, an outstanding theorist of space flights and the resident of Novosibirsk. In 1920 he became the first person to calculate the optimal Moon flight trajectory, which was used to launch American astronauts to the Earth's satellite.
The national project "Education" will cover the period from 2019 to 2024. Its total budget will be almost 784.5 billion rubles. The realization of the project is expected to ensure the global competitiveness of Russian education as well as the entry of Russian Federation at the top 10 countries with the best quality of general education.
