The Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation invited universities to develop advanced higher education programs in cooperation with research and teaching staff from TOP 200 global subject ranking universities.
NSTU NETI will receive 10 million rubles to develop and implement the educational program in cooperation with research and teaching staff of "MISIS". The allocated funds will also be used for the purchase of the necessary equipment.
The work is carried out within the federal project "Young Professionals (Improving the Vocational Education Competitiveness)" with the view of improving the of the educational product quality, as well as increasing the research and teaching staff motivation to develop new interdisciplinary export-oriented educational programs.
"Materials Science training at NSTU NETI was established more than 50 years ago. Today it is being developed by one of the youngest and most successful teams of the university. The development of new materials and their processing technologies is a promising direction for the university. Together with NUST MISIS staff we will develop a new educational program for Master's Degree. It will allow attracting greater number of applicants to the University, both from Russia and from other countries", said Anatoly Bataev, Doctor of Technical Sciences, NSTU NETI Rector.
National University of Science and Technology "MISIS" is 2019 best university of the country, according to Forbes Russia. It is also included in the TOP–100 Subject Rankings by QS World University Rankings in "Materials Science". The collaboration with such a successful university will make it possible to improve the quality of NSTU NETI educational programs and make them popular not only in Russia, but also in the world.
The project will be implemented within two years. By the end of 2019, the content of the educational program will be presented, and the student admission to the new direction will begin in the summer of 2021.
