From September 18 to 20, 2023, a design and analytical session was held at the Novosibirsk State Technical University, NETI, with the participation of experts from the FSASI "Sociocenter": Maria Vrublevskaya, Anton Konurin and Alexander Osadchenko. The distinguished guest of the session was Georgy Suvorov, Deputy Director for Science and Networking of the FSASI "Sociocenter".
The session was devoted to the analysis of the current progress of the strategic program, its institutional projects and priority scientific projects of NSTU NETI (Power electronics and intelligent energy, New materials for breakthrough technologies, New engineering solutions and artificial intelligence for biomedicine) implemented within the framework of the strategic academic leadership program "Priority 2030", and the basic processes for the university's activities – education, science, innovation and youth policy.
"The design and analytical session is one small step on a complex and long path of university development, an act of objectification of the vision of the university by the participants. This step helps to synchronize the team’s goals and development steps. Our task at the university is to organize problem–oriented communication aimed at improving the university's development program, which, in turn, aims to transform the university and overcome existing limitations. As we have visited several universities, we can share typical solutions to typical problems and help synchronize the understanding of the goals and objectives of the program. In general, the Priority 2030 program is a logical evolutionary step in the development of the higher education system. The program implementation leads to the fact that, on the one hand, cooperation is being built between universities and enterprises in the region of presence or with other enterprises of the relevant industry, and already a complex system of interaction or cooperation is being built between universities on a national scale. Each university highlights its priorities, and brings its strong competencies to the world, which allows us to intensify our common movement in achieving the technological sovereignty of our country," said Anton Konurin, an expert in the design and analytical sessions.
As part of their acquaintance with the university, the experts of the "Sociocenter" visited the objects of scientific and educational infrastructure, on the basis of which strategic projects are being implemented.
Within three days, the university team led by Rector Anatoly Bataev prioritized strategic development projects: from fixing the current level of implementation to the target model of 2030, considering the challenges of the scientific and educational agenda. The work was carried out in six thematic groups: "Target model, management system", "Basic processes: education, science, youth", "Basic processes: science and innovation"; strategic projects "Power electronics and intelligent energy", "New materials for breakthrough technologies" and "New engineering solutions and artificial intelligence for biomedicine."
"During the three days of the session, there was constant clarification of the positions and understanding of the NSTU NETI development program. In working with experts, many questions were removed and some of them were clarified: in particular, the term "strategic project" itself and how projects implemented in various university teams form the same – global, strategic project. The significance of such a session for the team lies in the fact that experts only ask questions necessary for understanding the vectors of project development and basic processes, without giving hints – the university staff themselves can and should develop answers during the implementation of various tracks," Anatoly Bataev summarized the results of the design and analytical session.
The end of the project session was the presentation of the results of the work of the groups on the main directions of the development of NSTU NETI.
