The fifth national Abilimpix championship was held in Moscow, at VDNH, All-Russian Exhibition Center. More than 1800 participants from all 85 regions of the Russian Federation fought in 62 competencies. 540 people became winners. The 1st place in the team competition was taken by a team from Moscow (182 medals), the team of Novosibirsk Oblast won 12 medals.
According to the results of the championship, Anna Nikolaeva, Novosibirsk State Technical University NETI student, Institute of Social Technology and Rehabilitation, was included in the list of the Russian national team for participation in the international championship; Olga Smirnova, “Medical and Social Care” competence expert, a teacher of Novosibirsk Medical College, was included in the list of experts for internships in Germany to work at the international championship in 2020.
Anna Nikolaeva won the first place in the “Pottery” competence. Another student of ISTR NSTU NETI, Danil Shusharin, won the 2nd place in the “Visual Arts” competence.
The skill of the contestants was rated by more than 500 experts. The championship also featured a cultural and business program events, including 66 sessions (forums, meetings, round tables, discussions). Representatives of universities, large companies and banks spoke to participants and visitors of the event. The team of our region has won 5 gold, 5 silver and 2 bronze medals.
Abilimpix is one of the projects of the autonomous non-for-profit organization “Russia is Land of Opportunities” aimed at developing a system of upward mobility in the country. The aim of the project is to provide effective vocational guidance and give motivation for people with disabilities to receive vocational education, promote their employment and socio-cultural inclusion in the society.
