The team headed by Georgiy Zorin, OOO "Vectortec" CEO and a postgraduate student of Business Faculty, NSTU NETI, received 900 thousand rubles for "Seller", a profits increasing tool for the retail chains.
Hardware and software complex "Seller" is an instrument to increase the retail chains profits. It changes the prices of goods automatically depending on the pricing indicators and displays the cost on electronic price tags without the additional personnel participation. It analyzes the sales data from the cash register computer, checks the balances of goods in stock, products expiration dates, and calculates the best value of the goods in terms of profit with the help of mathematical algorithms and the use of neural networks. Next, the system prices the goods and displays the cost on the price tag.
Each price tag is made of electronic paper, electronic card and a plastic case. The price tags are located on the shelf holder and are connected wirelessly to the computer. According to the authors of the development, the price tags will be 20-30% cheaper than foreign analogues due to the unique engineering solutions that allow installing the system inside the store and eliminating expensive transceivers and specialists.
In addition to Georgiy Zorin, the project "Seller" is being developed by specialists who have experience in analytics, electronics, retail and manufacturing. "I pay special attention to the composition of the team, I invite experienced specialists who will be able to improve the product and work out our idea," Georgiy notes.
The developers plan to spend the allocated funds for the invention upgrade. This will allow the team to make customer-oriented software for "Seller" and test the tool in the store. The testing will help identify performance indicators of its application. After that, the system can be implemented in retail networks.
"We participated in the all-Russian competition "Preaktum" for the first time, so the the victory in the superfinal and 400 thousand rubles given for the first prize were a pleasant surprise for us. I would like to emphasize the high level of both organizers and participants of the competition. I managed to get acquainted with some school students, who have already brought their business to payback and are engaged in its development and optimization. I would like to thank the experts and moderators who teach the participants how to present their project," said Georgiy Zorin.
"We participated in the "Umnik" grant competition last year, but did not get into the top three. This year we have advanced with gigantic strides in the development of our idea, so we are much more confident in our abilities," Georgy added.
