The day of the Novosibirsk Region at the International Exhibition-Forum "Russia", held at VDNH in Moscow, occurred on November 19.
The pavilion "House of Culture" hosted a musical and theatrical show of youth collectives from the region with the participation of the student jazz orchestra of the Novosibirsk State Technical University NETI under the direction of the conductor and artistic director of the collective, Yuri Petrovich Minyailo.
The orchestra gathered jazz fans and showed a high level of performance skills, which earned the applause and applause of the audience.
The concert was attended by the Minister of Education of the NSO, a large number of graduates from our university, and Anatoly Andreevich Bataev, the rector of NGTU NETI.
Well-known professional singers Irina Olifer, the star of the TV project "Come on, all together", Anastasia Leto, author and composer, and Ksenia Rychazhkova, laureate of the festival "Russian Student Spring", graduate of the Agrarian University, performed with the orchestra.
The jazz orchestra has been the hallmark of NSTU NETI for more than 20 years, and it has won the Grand Prix of the Russian Student Spring festival, as well as international competitions and festivals.
Reference: In 1960, a variety quintet was formed at the radio engineering faculty of the Novosibirsk Electrotechnical Institute, led by guitarist Evgeny Vtyurin.
In 1966, the quintet was transformed into the Big Variety Orchestra of the NETI, which subsequently repeatedly won various festivals and competitions.
