From December 9 to 15, 2020, NSTU NETI hosted events dedicated to the opening of the new Boiling Point venue.
"We are very happy that we have a new venue! Firstly, we have become closer to the University and to the residents of Novosibirsk. Secondly, it is not just more events, the new premises will allow holding events of different formats: meetings, strategic sessions, online broadcasts, various hybrid formats. Thirdly, we will be able to invite more guests and work in a coworking mode. Students, teachers and everyone can come here and work," said Kirill Zubarev, head of the boiling Point of NSTU NETI, at the opening ceremony.
The NSTU NETI Boiling Point is an educating space that is convenient for working together on projects. Here everyone can organize an independent and free educational event or take part in it.
The NSTU NETI Boiling Point is working on projects in the field of technological entrepreneurship in the markets of the National Technology Initiative and urban development. Even now, the Boiling Point gives opportunity to develop entrepreneurial projects in the field of artificial intelligence, energy, and information security.
For NSTU NETI students, their best practices were presented by the Сonstruсtorium platform, the Foundation Technopark of Academpark and Russia's leading technopark Technospark.
NSTU NETI students were the first in Russia to walk along the production facilities of Technospark in the form of a virtual tour. Recording of the virtual tour is available on the Boiling Point channel.
The Constructorium platform announced the opening of a fund to support youth initiatives for more than 1 billion rubles and encouraged NSTU NETI students to actively participate in applying for financial support for their projects.
The nuclear development group of the NSTU NETI campus operates on the basis of the Boiling Point. The opening events saw the announcement of the #StudentCort competition for campus development projects and presentation of 3 campus development projects.
"There should be many sites like Boiling Point! In our team we call this format "third place". The third place providing an opportunity for everyone to gather and decrare their own point of view. Any point of view! Declared freely. And discussed openly," says Anna Tereshkova, Deputy Mayor of Novosibirsk, head of the Department of Culture, Sports and Youth Policy of the Novosibirsk city hall.

"The format of the Boiling Point proved to be very popular. By the example of the NSTU NETI platform we see that the format actually proved both beneficial and popular here, for it hosted a large number of different events and involved large number of participants. This venue raised interest in big business not only from our region but from others," said Aleksey Vasiliev, the Minister of Science and Innovation Policy of Novosibirsk Oblast.
The central idea of the series of events was the panel discussion "The New Left Bank 2023", dedicated to the transformation of the central part of Novosibirsk left bank for the world youth hockey championship which will be held in our city in 2023.
