Dear international students!
Currently, the technical details of issuing a permit to enter the Russian Federation for foreign students and the procedure for transferring lists of people entering the checkpoint are being determined in accordance with the order of the Government of the Russian Federation dated by March 16, 2021 No. 639-p. Please follow the information in your personal account and on the NSTU website, where instructions for foreign students about entering the Russian Federation for study will be posted. To enter Russia, you must wait for detailed instructions from NSTU.
According to the order of the Government of the Russian Federation dated by March 16, 2021 No. 639-р, foreign students, postgraduates, students of preparatory faculties are allowed to return to Russia for continuing their studies.
Foreign citizens will be able to enter Russia for studying only from those countries that are recommended by the Russian Agency for Health and Consumer Rights as countries with a safe epidemiological situation. Currently, foreign students of NSTU from Azerbaijan, Belarus, Vietnam, Egypt, India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Cuba, Turkey, South Korea, and Japan can enter Russia. The list of the states, opened for foreign students to enter Russia, will be regularly updated.
We also inform you that no earlier than 3 calendar days before arriving in Russia, a student must do a COVID-19 test using the PCR (polymerase chain reaction) method and receive a certificate in Russian or English.
Within 72 hours after entering the territory of Russia, foreign students must pass a second PCR test. Before receiving the test results, they must keep the self-isolation regime at the place of residence. During the period of isolation, studying takes place online. Foreign students are not allowed to study in full-time without a second test.
If during the period of self-isolation foreign students arriving in Russia got the first symptoms of the disease (fever, sore throat, running nose, cough), the student must immediately inform the university about it and call a doctor.
