Novosibirsk State Technical University NETI for the first time was listed in the Moscow International University Ranking "The Three University Missions 2019".
The number of universities listed in the rankings table in 2019 is 1200, which is nearly four times bigger than the year before, when the published rankings list included 333 positions. There are 74 Russian universities in the list, with 8 universities, including NSTU NETI, being from the Siberian Federal District. Harvard is the world leader in the ranking. Among Russian universities, the rating was headed by Moscow State University. NSTU NETI is placed in the interval group 1001-1100 in the world ranking, as for the Russian ranking, our university is in the interval group 48-58, sharing it with the universities in Voronezh, Kazan, Moscow and Samara. The rating considers three components of the University's activity: the quality of education, research and the relationship between the university and local communities, an indicator called "University and Society". The principal difference of the new ranking is that it is based on the consistently measured quantitative indicators and rules out the use of the data based on reputational surveys (THE, QS), which significantly increases the level of objectivity.
