Pharma.Global whose founder is Novosibirsk State Technical University NETI alumna landed at the TOP 15 at Take Off Istanbul International Startup Summit 2019 beating more than 500 competitors. The summit was held in mid-September in Istanbul, and its results became known on October 3.
Pharma.Global has become the winner of the prestigious techno forum Take Off held annually in Turkey. The event brings together venture capital funds, major multinational companies, investors and entrepreneurs from around the world, and offers a localization program for startups in Turkey. At the forum, mentors and experts select 500 international startups covering the most important sectors and industries, then form a shortlist of 50 participants and determine the winner, and then 15 favorites. Experts have included Pharma.Global into the favorites of this year's Take Off Istanbul International Startup Summit. "Our company has made it through a careful selection process among startups to one of the recognized leaders of Take Off in Istanbul. This suggests that the "pains" within the health care systems both in Russia and in the Middle East are essentially the same and that our technologies can really help solve these problems and reduce the costs within the distribution chain by making the the pharmacy goods more accessible to people", said Elena Vatutina, the founder of Pharma.Global and NSTU NETI alumna.
Pharma.Global is an international pharmaceutical brand that combines Pharmznanie, the online training center for the specialists working in the pharmaceutical field, Medznanie, the online training center for doctors, and discount system "Cash-back Service". More than 45 webinars, trainings and other educational programs are held on the service's platforms every month, an average of 1,600 people take part in one online conference. These startups work as part of the infrastructure of the emerging market Healthnet, National Technology Initiative.
The founder of the company is Elena Vatutina, a graduate of Sociology and Mass Communications Department, NSTU NETI. In 2017, the project attracted investment from the Internet Initiatives Development Fund (IIDF). In mid-June 2019, Elena Vatutina appeared in the list of 20 most promising Russian entrepreneurs according to RBC. In August, Pharma.Global concluded an agreement with AL KENZ Pharmaceutical, a major distribution network. The companies will jointly promote Russian technological solutions for the pharmaceutical market in the United Arab Emirates and other countries of the MENA region.
Pharma.Global introduces a range of digital solutions for the international pharmaceutical industry. It was founded in 2016 in Novosibirsk. Now the head office of the company is located in Skolkovo, with the production center being still located in Novosibirsk. In September 2019, the company opened a representative office in Abu Dhabi to work with the Middle East clients. Since 2017 Pharma.Global is part of the Internet Initiatives Development Fund's portfolio. Today, the startup is considered the fastest growing medical project in the portfolio of IIDF and the fastest growing IT company in the Russian pharmaceutical market.
