On January 24, a new thematic multimedia lecture hall for the students of Power Engineering Faculty was opened at NSTU NETI.
This new lecture hall with acoustic ceiling and video equipment seats 100 people. The thematic designer's work is seen on the walls: the power energy system map of Siberian regions, the contours of Novosibirsk power plants and equipment. The hall was a gift to Power Energy Faculty for being the major personnel source for generating enterprises and heating systems. Novosibirsk branch alone employs 557 NSTU NETI graduates, including 360 people at the power stations and 117 at the heating network division. In 2019, 22 students of the University completed practical training at SGK enterprises.
Since the company's enterprises are located in seven regions of the Russian Federation, the graduates of our University can be employed not only in Novosibirsk.
"In future, we will expand cooperation with NSTU NETI. Particularly, we are discussing the creation of a training and production site on the basis of CHPP-2," said Andrey Kolmakov, Director of SGK Novosibirsk branch. "The station has the venue to place high-tech equipment for the pilot operation of innovative technologies of the solid fuel based production of electric and thermal energy." These technologies can be tested and developed on this site in cooperation with NSTU NETI specialists and Academgorodok scientists. For example, it is fuel-free ignition of power boilers using water-coal fuel as well as fuel cells that run on coal.
