We invite high school students, university students, and all those interested in English to the finals of the TED TALKS international project: September 8, Pr. K. Marksa, 20, Building 8A (NSTU NETI Library) at 6 p.m.
4 young graduates of the first TED-Ed Smile Club international teen project will present their reports in English to the audience.
"It was a difficult way to prepare. The pandemic adjusted our plans and we had to postpone the finals, which were supposed to take place on May 15", said Eduard Shornik, the project moderator in Novosibirsk.
"Only 4 participants out of 20 survived this marathon. The guys are great. We are proud of them. During the classes, our graduates improved their English, honed their pronunciation and stage speech skills, and learned to overcome the public speech fright. Most importantly, they developed their own unique idea and presented it in in accordance with the principles of public speech used by all well-known speakers: whether politicians, scientists or social activists", Eduard Shornik said.
The topics of the reports are very diverse: "Emotional intelligence", "Pseudoscience and critical thinking", "Life without sugar", "Time and us".
We are waiting for everyone who wants to support the finalists, learn about the popular TED TALKS format and test their perception level of competent speech in English.
