On 26 March, 2021 Huawei will hold the finals of the Eurasian Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Huawei Cup. 128 contestants who showed the best results in the qualifying stages (including 118 students and graduates of 2020 from 69 universities in Russia and the CIS) will compete for the main prizes: $ 10,000 in the 5G, AI, IP, Cloud, APP, Code, HCIE categories and three trips to China in the ICT Observer category. Among the contestants there are Danil Kincharov and Aleksei Paikhaev, third-year students of the Faculty of Automation and Computer Engineering NSTU NETI. A student of SibSUTIS will also represent Novosibirsk at the competition.
This year, for the first time, the Huawei Cup finals are held in a "blended format": the final trials in the IP and Cloud categories will be held on the final day offline, and the finalists in the other categories — 5G, AI, APP, Code — will complete tasks online in advance. The names of the winners in all categories will be announced as part of the online broadcast. Ida Galich, a blogger and a TV-entertainer, will host the event.
The online broadcast of the finals will be in the format of an entertainment talk show. The special guests of the show include a blogger and the face of the esports organization Virtus.Pro Mrs.Marple, TikTok bloggers Dasha Epova and Denis Lubov. The audience is waiting for activities and interactive content. The most active will receive memorable prizes from the organizer of the competition, Huawei. You can join the live finals on the official YouTube channel of the competition from 1 to 2:30 p.m. (Moscow time).
