NSTU NETI was listed as one of the Russian top ten universities according to the world ranking by the British portal Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), getting ahead of NSU.
13 universities from Russia were ranked among the world leading universities, with Moscow State University heading the list. St. Petersburg State University (SPBU) ranks second. The top five universities in Russia also include Bauman Moscow State Technical University (MSTU) and National Research University Higher School of Economics (HSE) which are also included at the top 250 of the World Employability Ranking. Other Russian universities are placed 301-500. They are Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (MIPT), National Research Nuclear University MEPhI (Moscow Engineering Physics Institute), National University of Science and Technology MISIS, Novosibirsk State Technical University (NSTU NETI), Novosibirsk State University (NSU), Plekhanov Russian University of Economics. Peoples' Friendship University of Russia (RUDN University) and Tomsk Polytechnic University (TPU) were listed in this ranking for the first time. The world top three universities are from the United States: Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Stanford University and the University of California, Los Angeles. The rating methodology is based on assessing employer reputation (30%), alumni outcomes (25%), partnership with employers per faculty (25%), employer/student connection (10%) and graduate employment rate (10%).
