As assigned by "Energoclass", the students of the Power Engineering Faculty developed a training complex "Virtual Wireman" guided by Denis Armeev, PhD (Technical Sciences), Associate Professor of Automated Electric Power Systems Department and Anastasia Zhdanovich, PhD (Technical Sciences), Associate Professor, of Power Supply Systems Department.
To perform the work, the students announced and implemented an engineering project "Development of an Interactive Virtual Electrical Installation Stand". To create the complex, the students and their mentors used the technologies of three-dimensional computer graphics, programming in C#, and the game platform of one of the well-known modern game "engines".
The current semester saw a series of presentation and reporting events, in particular, on December 14, there was the testing of the training complex "Virtual Wireman". Students of "Energoclass" showed great interest in the development.
In the future, "Virtual Wireman" is to be introduced to the practical training of NSTU NETI students. The development of a VR- version of the complex is also under way.
For the development of the field, the Garage SBI organized a VR club for everyone to take part in one of the current projects or start their own.
The lanch of the club at the Garage SBI platform in 2020 was carried out with the support of the Federal Agency "Rosmolodezh" within the project "Look for me in the club".
