NSTU NETI held "Our gift for Life!" blood drive on April 20 and 21, 2021. Volunteers, doctors and the Red Cross specialists helped to organize it. In two days, 113 people became donors and collected 50.5 liters of blood.
NSTU NETI has been an active collective donor for several years. Donor events are held at the university twice a year: in spring and autumn. "I have been planning to donate blood for a very long time and I am very happy that now I can do it right at my university. I became a donor for the first time, but I think I will donate blood in future. I believe that this is necessary. If I can help a person, why not do it?" said Daria Pritula, a student of NSTU NETI.
The Volunteer Staff of NSTU NETI, medical volunteers and specialists of the Novosibirsk Red Cross helped in organizing the donation campaign. The charity gave out a lapel pin to anyone who donated blood.
"We present the Honorary Donor pins from the Russian Red Cross and a gift from the sponsors," said Alina Dubovik, assistant to the head of the Novosibirsk branch of the Red Cross. "Donors are also entitled to a day off and monetary compensation. But students often say that this is not of great importance. The most important thing is that they have the opportunity to save someone's life".
The organizers express their deep gratitude to all who did not remain indifferent and took part in the blood drive. W are also are waiting for those who are aspiring to become a donor in the autumn. Special thanks to the Volunteer Staff of the University for the excellent organization and holding of the donor campaign!
