On December 1, on the Day of Unified Actions of the Movement of the First, Novosibirsk State Technical University (NETI) was among the first in the Novosibirsk region to open the youth club "Firsts".
The initiator of the creation of student associations was the largest public association in the region with the support of the Department of Youth Policy of the Novosibirsk region. The head of the department, Sergey Fedorchuk, attended the opening ceremony of the club at NSTU NETI.
"You have a unique opportunity! You are opening one of the first clubs in the universities of the region. Your university is unique. Suffice it to say that surnames such as Lyshchinsky have entered the history of world science. Touching upon the traditions of such a university, when you enroll here, you expect to gain knowledge that will allow you to find yourself in life. You are the future engineers, the pride of the country, and you will be able to change this country. However, every person should prove themselves in something else. The movement of the First is a combination of efforts outside classrooms. This is a social multifunctional center, every student who comes to your university understands where to turn in order to find himself," Sergey Fedorchuk, head of the Department of Youth Policy of the Novosibirsk Region, addressed the students of NSTU NETI.
At the Firsts Club, students will be able to try their hand at volunteering and mentoring, get involved in the implementation of new projects, apply for various grants, and immerse themselves in career guidance work with schoolchildren.
As noted by Lyudmila Mozheikina, Vice-rector for Youth Policy at NSTU NETI, there are currently 17 student associations at the university, and the Firsts club will act as a link in the university’s youth policy ecosystem.
On December 1, a fair of the directions of work of the youth club "Firsts" of NSTU NETI was also held.
