Novosibirsk State Technical University has received a federal grant from the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation for targeted personnel training for key industrial partners in the field of production of means of production and automation.
Support in the amount of 15.8 million rubles was allocated within the framework of the federal project "Science and personnel for the production of means of production and automation" of the national project for ensuring technological leadership "Means of production and automation".
"NSTU-NETI is one of the leaders in the number of students receiving education under the targeted learning scheme. In five years, the number of "target users" has increased by 75%. Of course, this area is being strengthened in close cooperation with enterprises: currently, there are almost 60 organizations on the list of customers for targeted training. Thanks to federal funding, we are launching a new program of enhanced targeted personnel training in the interests of specific enterprises. I am convinced that this will be an important step in the formation of an effective educational system for training personnel designed to ensure the technological leadership of our country," commented Sergey Chernov, Vice—Rector for Academic Affairs at NSTU-NETI.
The project is aimed at training highly qualified personnel capable of solving the tasks of increasing the efficiency of automated production and improving product quality. Its participants will be 64 students from the Faculty of Mechatronics and Automation and the Faculty of Automation and Computer Engineering. Students will be trained in both specially designed and updated educational modules with the participation of industrial partners. These include optimization of production systems, technical vision for solving applied problems, development of system software for microprocessor technology, and others. The training will be complemented by career guidance events and industrial practice. It is also planned to employ trained students in manufacturing enterprises.
"The university's industrial partners will actively participate in the implementation of a new project on targeted personnel training for specific industries. These are participation in the development of new and updating existing educational programs, immersion of students in the industry during various career guidance events, organization of internships for the best students of the project and advanced training for teachers of NSTU-NETI. A target agreement will be signed with the students who took part in the project," said Natalia Plotnikova, Head of the Department of Education Strategy at NSTU-NETI.
The project included 12 industrial and scientific partners of NSTU-NETI, including PJSC Tyazhstankohydropress, JSC RIM, LLC Enterprise Eltex, JSC Novosibirsk Plant of Radio Components Oxide, JSC Novosibirsk Instrument Engineering Plant, PO Sever, Institute of Nuclear Physics named after G.I. Budker SB RAS and others.
The program of joint events within the framework of the new targeted training project will include guided tours of the company's production sites, presentations of product lines, familiarization with manufacturing technology, workshops, internships and internships.
The project provides for the internship of university teachers at enterprises and the involvement of teachers-practitioners — employees of partner enterprises in the implementation of specialized educational programs. So, on the basis of the INP SB RAS, teachers of NSTU-NETI will undergo advanced training under the program "Sources of synchrotron radiation".
Thanks to the project, which will last until September 2026, students of NSTU-NETI will receive competencies in demand in the field of automation of production processes and systems.
