International chess masters Alexey Grachev (AUTF) and Roman Kezin (FTF) won the Russian Men's Team Cup as part of the Novosibirsk Region national team.
The tournament was held in Sochi from November 26 to December 4, 2024 and is the second most important team tournament in the country, part of the Unified Competition Calendar of the Russian Ministry of Sports.
26 teams from 12 regions took part in the competition. The Novosibirsk Region team finished second, scoring 11 points and losing only to the KPRF team (Moscow), consisting of members of the Russian national team.
Athletes train under the guidance of international grandmaster Dmitry Bocharov, a graduate of NSTU-NETI, who also participated in the Cup as part of the national team of the National Academy of Sciences. The training of athletes within the framework of the NSTU-NETI is supervised by the USOC coach Alexey Dolgov.
