A team of students from Novosibirsk State Technical University (NETI) is developing a device for washing pet paws. The lap washer will allow you to quickly clean the dirt from the paws of pets and save the owners time for cleaning after the hygienic procedure.
The interfaculty team is developing an automated device for washing dirty paws of dogs, which will greatly simplify the hygienic process and save the owner from cleaning the place where the water procedures took place. According to Yvette Podchasova, a student at the Faculty of Radio Engineering and Electronics, the installation is a small box about 30 cm high with two bushings with soft lint, which will be made of durable plastic with metal parts.
"The device will be powered by electricity and in the future may be integrated into home plumbing, so pet owners will not have to remove water from the floor. This will help to maintain perfect cleanliness in the house, eliminate contamination of floors and furniture, but most importantly, it will save time for dog owners. Perhaps in the future, a rug will be added to the design of the lapwash, but for now we have settled on this option," said Yvette Podchasova.
The project developers, under the guidance of Victoria Dvoretskaya, an assistant at the Department of Automated Control Systems at AVTF, took care of the "Fundamentals of Project Activity" discipline and the comfort of the other residents. They assured that they would achieve an almost silent mode of operation of the washing machine. So far, the prototype layout is ready, but in the near future we plan to submit an application to the Center for Student Project Activities at NSTU-NETI in order to create a working version of the Lapist.
