"The grant is allocated for 12 months. It finances the development of a device that will help the teacher see all students with a micro-earphone using a tablet, even without moving around the classroom. We presented the application in May for the first time," said Angelina Shmidt, assistant project manager.
According to Federal Service for Supervision in Education and Science (Rosobrnadzor), 850 violations were found at the unified state exam (USE) in 2020. Most of these violations are related to the use of micro-earphones by schoolchildren. At the same time, according to a survey conducted by developers at the Novosibirsk State Medical University, 84% of students have used micro-earphones at least once, and 56% use them in every exam.
The device will be useful during exams, Olympiads, tests, and courses. Unlike the widely used video surveillance, the U.M. device works independently and does not require continuous monitoring.
Anti- micro-earphone has passed four stages of testing, which proved it effective. Now the development is fully applied in NSMU.
At the SPIEF forum held in June, the Minister of Science and Higher Education Valery Falkov supported the anti-micro-earphone project. He said that the Ministry is ready to support the residents of the SBI Garage, NSTU NETI.
